Hello people
Today I received an email with the content rather odd. they said they had seen my blog (and love it - it's great). They complain about my post too much yaoi doujin. Fact, the story that I posted mostly bara doujin. So, I think I should specify the concept of two types of this doujin so that you are clear. Ha ha

 Bara

Bara (蔷薇, "rose") also known as the "Men's Love" (メンズ ラブ menzu rabu) or ML, a term Japan for a kind of comics and media fiction in order to love, sex and the desire of men, usually written by gay men and gay men only. Category Bara appeared in the 1960s with the respected magazine themes pictures and gay content. Besides, Bara Manga longer called GEI Comi (ゲイコミ, "gay comics gay comics"). Bara is a key trend in Japan should be exposed and introduced to the Western countries including Vietnam have very limited through the popular Manga in the gay forum. While Bara faced with difficulties in finding western publishers, it has created a "next big porn wave of Japan".Bara can vary in visual style and plot. But often, masculine men at different levels based on the muscle, fat and body hair, like beefcakes, or bear (熊, kuma) in gay culture. Bara often have adult content (sometimes violent and exploitative) and gay neo-romantic, it is also more realistic and autobiographical themes because it acknowledges the taboo of homosexuality Japan.Western readers sometimes called to Bara "Yaoi", but Yaoi largely written by women and for women readers and the ideal bishonen (handsome) character regular fit "SEME "masculine and" uke effeminate. Conversely, Bara considered a genre contain elements from seijin (male libido) for gay men and it's like comics more for men ( seinen) rather than comics for female readers (Shojo / Josei). The author of popular comic book series bara:

Gengoroh Tagame is considered the most influential authors in the comic gay "gay manga" in Japan so far. Most of his work first appeared on the gay magazines and usually stories of sexual abuse, including rape, torture and BDSM (a form of the game in the direction of sexual abuse but not excessive). The image of Tagame expresses the burly, muscular, hairy and full of men; it is seen as a catalyst for a change in the type of gay man in Tokyo after the launch of G-men magazine in 1995, going from clean style, slender influenced by yaoi trend masculine, strong and fat. Tagame's work has been known and criticized for his character in the story is merely a "sex machine", the violence and the lack of complex storylines.

Some popular authors include: Takeshi Matsu, Iñaki Matsumoto, Mentaiko, Matsuzaki Tsukasa, jiraiya, Zelolee, Gai Mizuki ...Characteristics of comics Bara (Bara Manga):

The rise of many stories bara did it promote strong, the stories are published each, but most are individual collections of short stories have only one chapter. Bara manga usually appear burly men as gay characters, but the characters can vary in appearance (though they do not like feminine feminine yaoi). Although some actual story less than the actual life of gay men (eg: the parade show is gay pride, gay marriage issues, information revealing himself as gay to the general public and real sex etc ...), but McLelland (Note the need to achieve) and others have noted that "more attention when sex is to build a long-term relationship. " The story in general interest magazines gay men in the 90s are usually expressed in age, status, and power relationships, the point where the older character or status higher use of the character or low status children for sexual purposes. Both McLelland and Lunsing (Discuss depicted gay characters in Japanese comics) shows that the subject of BDSM and sexual violence or exploitation is common in these journals and aims pornography.Bara than yaoi:

Yaoi (やおい?, Also known as "Boys' Love" or BL) is a genre of Japanese comics in conjunction with the theme of "romantic gay love". This category appears uring the 1970s in a branch of manga aimed at girls, and sold on the market exclusively for women and girls, although there are some male readers. BL authors and fans are careful to distinguish the genre from bara, which are created and for gay men. Yaoi has spread beyond Japan and is now available in many countries. The characters in yaoi manga do not tend to identify themselves as gay or bisexual

Yaoi has been criticized as depicting stereotypes and hatred of gay characters in it, and do not solve the problem of homosexuality.
